Day 1: Niche (rhymes with itch or quiche!
I believe the affiliates who are going to be the most successful and convert the most people are those who know how to pick a “micro-niche”. Let’s take some simple steps to figuring out what a “micro-niche” is.
First: List out as many niches as you possibly can. These are niches.
Dating, Fashion, Photography, Gambling, Politics, Religion, Science and Nature, Art, Travel and Vacation, Automobiles, Weddings, Weight Loss, Pets, Cooking, Crafts, Make Money, Real Estate, Bodybuilding, Sports, Health, Computers, Games, Kids and Teens, Shopping, and Don’t Forget Porn (oh no you didn’t).
I guarantee if you advertise any of these keywords, the price per click would price you so far out of the market, that you would lose more money than you would make. So let’s continue..
Second: People who spend money online are looking for solutions, answers, and cures to their problems.
Add some Benefit Words in Front (you can add to this list)
Advice, Aid, Benefit, Comfort, Cooperation, Corrective, Cure, Guidance, Help, Remedy, Service, Support
Third: Add the Person You Want to Help:
Me, Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Niece, Nephew, Grandparents, Teacher, Firefighter, Neighbor, (long list!)
Fourth: Now take any three words from A + B + C.. It should look like this:
Help Me Dating
Final Step: Okay I picked, “Help Me Dating” and Now Add the Problem
No Motivation, Ugly, Insecure, Shy, Afraid of Rejection, Uncomfortable Meeting New People, Been Hurt Before, Negative Attitude, Not a Bar Fly, Low Self Esteem, Attract Losers, Parents were Poor Role Models, Too Busy, Work All the Time, Live with Their Parents, No Money, Too Expensive, New in Town, They Know Everyone,
Now put it all together: Help Me Dating Shy!
And there you have it! Your “micro-niche!” You can now create a site for Shy People Who Need Help Dating! How easy was that? Now, you can continue to Step 2 to becoming a Super Affiliate…

The site looks great! Can you tell me how you created the slides that are in the “video box” on the home page? I really like the cartoon pics! Is there some type of slide software that you are using to create the pics like the “lab” picture with the dog in the background?

I think the redesign is great (although I never saw your old site). I really think it looks well done and professional. A Trojan – ouch. Luckily I didn’t start mine until Jan. so I started with WP 2.7

Next week, we’ll add Step 2 to this mix.. I want to put this in “easy formula” mode for my readers. Once I get all five steps listed, then, most posts will go under one of the five! By the way, how do you like the redesign? We were hit by a Trojan in January and lost all of our blog posts for the last five years! It’s Bonnie.. I love the new site. I like this format.. I have never heard of microniches before and I suspect this has your teaching influence all over it. You put into a format that is easy to understand.
