Does Wealthy Affiliate Deliver?

What is Wealthy Affiliate?  Wealthy Affiliate is a huge community dedicated to giving you complete training to starting your own online business.  The site scores 80% on the SuperAffiliate Scorecard, and mainly gets points deducted for NOT giving YOU the complete system that they claim in their sales letter without charging you more.

Let’s go over what you do get:

The NicheQ – They give in-depth, professional research reports on the hottest niches online.  Now, I’ve often said PICK YOUR PASSION and build your business around it.  You’ll be happier doing what you love.  However, there is the other half of affiliates who just want to make money in whatever niche.  This report will show you what’s hot and what’s not.

Free Web Hosting – This is an interesting way to get memberships to stick.  When you become a member, Wealthy Affiliates offer FREE WEB HOSTING.  I think this is a brilliant marketing move because the average attrition rate is usually 4 to 5 months.  However, when someone has a couple of websites up and running and NOT paying hosting – they know if they cancel – goodbye websites!  So this is a great marketing trick!

The Site Rubix – Since I recommend WordPress, I have NOT used The Site Rubix.  However, if you want to get something up and running, this might be a beginner’s dream come true.  I would spend the extra bucks to have a Elance/Rent-a-Coder install my WordPress.

For the past few months, I’ve been a member of Wealthy Affiliate, and I’m beginning to wonder if it’s a “money” pit. How many times have you bought a program that claims to deliver the complete step by step blueprint, and then, later on, they want you to buy this and buy that and they want your money for step by step training and courses and later on, you buy their huge seminar package, and then, after a year, you’re still BROKE and CONFUSED! Well, I joined. AND I have already received a $199 upsell video package of a “private” meeting with SuperAffiliates. I passed. AND I have already noticed some $67 upsell courses inside. I’ll pass!

For my monthly fee – that should be included!

If you are an experienced affiliate marketer, the community is very vibrant. Since everyone is online, that place is packed! You finally feel like you’re apart of a group of people doing exactly what you’re doing. They share ideas and how-to videos, and most importantly, you finally fit in! I mean, your family and friends usually don’t understand a word of what you do – so sometimes, you feel “alone!”

Check out the tour of Wealthy Affiliate below. I think it’s worth trying out for one month. If you get value out of it, then great. If you don’t, then cancel it immediately and move on.  I think it’s worth having a membership because it’s less than $30, and I’m still getting value out of it.
