The trick to April’s Affiliate Niches is simple. April is a weird month that plays a psychological toll on the body. For starters, everyone is in a great mood – playing pranks on each other. It’s good fun. Then, it turns to Easter and hunting eggs. People are in great spirits, but the stress of hanging out with family and having to plan and make sure everything turns out perfect quickly starts building up, and then, April 15th shows up. Hi there. Now that the month for lovers is out of the way – let’s bring back the fun. Let’s add some beer, put on our green shirts and let’s start affiliate marketing off to a not so sober start. People who have a fear of socializing are searching to improve their socialization skills so they start with Google for how to tell a funny joke or how to throw the perfect party. And with the warm weather and the increased partying – that leads to increased traffic tickets, including how to get out of jail and what to say to a police officer. But overall, March’s searches increase for lawn care and repairing lawn mowing equipment. People search for best flowers to plant this month and how to turn the grass green. I know I am! :0)

The Best Converting Affiliate Strategies

It’s Kit Elliott with another great week for online profits. For me – there are three affiliate strategies that seem to convert at the highest. The first strategy is providing the solution to people’s problems. The second strategy is targeting people’s hobbies with the product (i.e. dog training or golf strategies). The third strategy is targeting people’s favorite coaches and authors to their books and training. These all have one thing in common: MARKET MATCH! It’s like getting paid to play the match game.

Today, I wanted to share a formula that I first figured out in 2005 when I posted an article that got re-printed in a newsletter that went out to 100,000 readers. I quickly netted a cool $10,000 in 1 week from that article.

This micro-niche is really hot if you drill down to the absolute pinpoint buyer (and it’s easy to do).

The Most Profitable Affiliate Niche

This is in the top five niches for sure, and if you include it in all of the health niche, then it is number one. The number one affiliate niche is ailments. And the reason it’s so hot is that people are searching for a way to cure or get rid of their ailments. Am I right? How many times have you gotten “something” and searched for a way to get rid of it. This would be the first step in drilling down the ailment niche. You have to get really specific. What’s the one thing that you want to get rid of but didn’t want to tell anybody you wanted to get rid of it?

Bumps on your penis..
Warts..
Low self esteem..
Skinny body..
No muscles..
Big nose..
Pessimistic moods..
Small boobs..
Funky breath..
Butt rash..

The list goes on and on and keeps changing as we evolve. These are the problems that people want instant solutions for, and they are willing to pay any price, which means great commissions for you! SO I just made you a list..

Add the ailment to search words like, “How to get rid of.. ” or “How to cure..” or “How to solve”.. “how do I fix it”.. These words signal that this person is seriously looking for a solution and may be willing to spend some money solving it.

Now, you have to find affiliate products that tie perfectly with each ailment. So pick one ailment above.. and search for products that solve or cure your manboobs.. :0) (or any of the ailments). Once you find the product – grab your affiliate link and move to part 3.

Now, you’ve drilled down the ailment.. you have your affiliate links.. now, it’s time to find some forums where people are discussing the problem. Once you find that people are discussing this problem in multiple forums – you can post on the forum and offer your solution. You’ll find that the more you discuss it – the more sales you make. The problem you’ll run into is that you will work all day by yourself and make a cool $50 to $100. Not bad. It beats getting dressed, driving to work, and becoming a corporate slave for the same amount of money. The trick is taking $500 and outsource to those who will search for blogs, forums, articles and leave comments for you (which happen to solve the problem using YOUR affiliate link).

I believe the affiliates who are going to be the most successful and convert the most people are those who know how to pick a “micro-niche”. Let’s take some simple steps to figuring out what a “micro-niche” is.

First: List out as many niches as you possibly can. These are niches.

I guarantee if you advertise any of these keywords, the price per click would price you so far out of the market, that you would lose more money than you would make. So let’s continue..

Second: People who spend money online are looking for solutions, answers, and cures to their problems.

Hi there. It’s Kit Elliott with another great week for online profits! So I’m on the hunt for profitable “micro-niches” and using a simple keyword formula, I can usually find winners.

So let’s say you think you’ve found a winner and you run it through your normal gamut, and after 2 weeks – nothing. DUD!

Why is that? The product, the niche, the keywords all passed the initial tests with exciting profit potential.. What went wrong? It could be a number of factors. The gravity was too low.. the niche did not bring in “buying” customers.. Some niches (e.g. MySpace Skins) bring in a ton of lookers (which is great for Adsense) but horrible for affiliate sales. They are not “BUYING” customers.. So let’s go over how you can judge demand for a particular niche.

#1: Clickbank’s Marketplace: You can search the gravity. Gravity has always been a mystery to most people, but I think I have figured out a simple formula for gravity. I believe that the gravity is calculated by the number of affiliate sales in the past week or month. It’s a formula like this and I can’t remember if it’s weeks or months:

Number of Affiliate Sales in the Past Week: Count as 1 Point

As the weeks fade, then the 1 Point goes down to .9 then .8 then .7 then .6..

So you can see that the higher the number, the more sales affiliates are making! The gravity is a great place to look and my general rule is 50 and above.. You can still profit from 50 and below but that involves a completely new marketing plan. It’s like selling a high-end house. You wouldn’t apply a “wholesale” strategy when you could apply the “auction” strategy. Ask me about it sometime! :0)

#2: Amazon.com: You can actually search Amazon by popularity. Let’s say that you find a niche.. head over to Amazon and search the niche’s popularity. Then, the products for that niche will come up in order of popularity! This shows you what topics, what pricepoints, how to position the sale.. FOR FREE!

#3: Articles and Google: Same strategy for Search Engines and Article Directories.. because have you noticed that the two are starting to become one.. Everyone is spinning articles and getting first page rankings for crappy content.. It’s driving me nuts when I need to find something fast.

But you can actually see what your competition is doing by seeing how they position the sell, how they design their landing pages.. just do what your competition is doing!
