Here’s my prediction for the future of the internet:
The reason why the internet has become an integral piece of your life right now is because every website is like a TV station. And the content on the website becomes the viewing lineup. The internet taps into everyone’s passions, interests, hobbies, and we can truly understand that while we are all different, we can connect with others who share the same passions.
These websites make it extremely easy to do so.
Then, we take it further by allowing you to purchase your own domain name and setup your own station. Now, everyone can own their own channel and control the content and advertising.
Think ahead: AT&T just announced the $50 laptop. This is a view into the future that everyone will be online in one way or another. I believe in the next five years, the internet will double again in users. This means that domain names are going to be hard to find and high in demand and at the same time, this will increase your viewship to your own TV station! :0)
