I just found a new product’s thank you page listed on Google:
I can’t tell if Russell Brunson is using the Butterfly Marketing method meets Launch Tree, but I just found the thank you page in Google:
I guess we just got the product for free! Thanks programmers!
If you don’t know what the Butterfly Marketing Method is .. part of that course documented Mike’s sneaky “thank you” page strategy.
The idea is simple:
Make your thank you page one of your first pages so people think they are downloading the product for free. The page says something like: THANKS FOR ORDERING MILLION DOLLAR MAGIC PILL – YOU HAVE REACHED THE DOWNLOAD PAGE.
So the visitor thinks he is getting the product for free, but what happens when he clicks “NEXT”. There are three or four upsell pages before you get to the download page.
Mike says – there will be a small percentage who click straight through to the download page, but most people will get their credit card out and purchase one of the upsells.
If this is an error, Russell will catch it pretty soon and take it off. If it’s a marketing strategy, sneaky!
If it is an error – there is a simple way to hide your thank you pages or any page that you do not want people/search engines to see. This is not 100% but it will work with Google:
1) Add <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, nofollow, noarchive”> to your page header. Next time when Googlebot or other robots visit your page, your page will be removed from their index and cache.
2) Visit www.google.com/remove.html to have Google remove it automatically using the automatic URL removal system.
Enjoy!
